Position Title: Habilitatior - Day Program

Description:

CP Rochester supports individuals of all ages and abilities to determine their pathway in life. We partner with the individual, their family, and the community to fulfill the individual’s right to live a productive and rewarding life. CP Rochester provides a wide range of quality health, educational, and support services in the greater Rochester area to assist individuals in achieving their goals.

We are currently seeking HABILITATORS in our DAY PROGRAM to join our CP Rochester team.

  • Imparts agency philosophy of “Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence” to individuals, families, program staff and community resources.

  • Maintains confidentiality of information relating to individuals and their families in accordance with agency policy.
  • Works with developmentally and physically disabled adults in the Day Habilitation program.
  • Will provide individuals with training and support in independent living skills.
  • Completes documentation as required by and in coordination with regulations and agency policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to the agency’s policies and procedures as well as department guidelines.
  • Performs other duties at the discretion of the Program Director or his/her designee.
Hours of Employment:

Full-Time - 7 hours per day Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-4:00pm

Qualifications:

·       High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

·       Experience working with people with developmental disabilities strongly preferred.

·        Valid and clean New York State Driver’s License.

·       Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.

·       Ability to become CPR and first aid certified and successfully complete required training courses.

·       Physical Requirements include: sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, pulling and pushing wheelchairs and adaptive equipment, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching, crawling, color determination, visual acuity, speaking clearly, listening to spoken communication, sense of taste and smell.
