Lead Caregiver

Lead Caregiver - Wrap Around Respite Program |
| Description: |
- Works with children and adults who have developmental disabilities in an afternoon respite program.
- The individual participates in daily activities of the program, supervises the participants, and implements recreational activities.
- Provides personal care to participants as needed.
- Works with other staff in a cooperative, team environment.

| Hours of Employment: |
Monday through Friday - 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
|
| Qualifications: |
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associates Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
- One year experience providing service to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent verbal, written, and leadership skills.
- Valid NYS driver’s license required.
- Candidate must have demonstrated ability to plan and organize daily activities of staff and participants.
- Ability to meet agency required training required, including CPR and first aid certifications.
- Sitting, standing, walking, lifting over 50 pounds, pulling and pushing wheelchairs and adaptive equipment, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching, and crawling may be required.
