The Community Recreation Program provides opportunities to develop lifetime recreation skills and interests. What makes us unique is that most of our programs and events are out in the community. We offer opportunities for individual and group interaction, as well as programs that incorporate instruction and skill development, such as our individual swimming lessons, teen club, fitness and fine arts programs.
“Many times, children with disabilities have a difficult time finding recreational activities that are suited to their abilities. CP Rochester’s Community Recreation program fills a much-needed gap for my teen-age daughter, Jamie. Jamie loves all kinds of activities and the variety that Community Recreation offers is extensive. These programs provide a safe, well-supervised environment for my daughter where she can socialize, make new friends, learn new things, and most of all, HAVE FUN!! I am truly grateful for the opportunities that CP Rochester provides Jamie so that she can have a full life.” – Randi Rhinehart

"... Not only the family member with a disability benefits but siblings and other family members can participate as well. Thanks to CP Rochester, we look forward to a Red Wing game each year. A fall weekend at The Great Wolf Lodge was a blast! There is Seabreeze, Darien Lake Amusement Park, Marineland, and the list continues.
Michaela’s self confidence, independence and social skills has increased since she started participating in this program." -- Avril Blackwood, Single Parent Mom
