Job Purpose and Primary Duties
- Identifies, treats, and insures provision of consumer health, through such services as health counseling, staff training, and implementation and oversight of medical regimens
- Coordinates and serves as a liaison to medical communication with consumers, primary physicians, medical specialists, families, and staff
- Provides nursing assessments and develops treatment plans to meet consumer health needs
- NYS licensure and registration as a Registered Professional Nurse in good standing
- One-year experience in working with developmentally disabled individuals strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and prioritize medical, health, and safety situations
- Valid NYS Driver's License required
- Ability to meet all agency and program required training
- Ability to perform all essential job functions
