SSA is a recreational program of SportsNet that takes place at Swain Resort and is the largest adaptive ski program in the greater Rochester area. Shared Ski Adventures helps people of all abilities learn to ski, including those who are cognitively or mobility disabled, hearing impaired, or visually impaired. Our person-centered philosophy supports a constantly changing and individual-driven curriculum. The program provides personalized supports and services for individuals of all abilities. Whether you enjoy the arts, sports, want to experience college, are looking to increase your independence, volunteer in your community, or simply want to meet new people and try new things, there is an opportunity waiting for you! Each individual selects areas of interest and then works with their Habilitation staff to coordinate their schedule. All grants listed below are funded by OPWDD. Family Reimbursement This grant offers financial assistance to families. It can be utilized to pay for items directly related to the family member’s disability. Transportation (Project Access) Our transportation grant is utilized to assist families with connecting their loved one with their community.
